I'm convinced that David Schwimmer and Tom Green are the same guy.
Aroma - Soft vanilla blends nicely with sweet milk chocolate. There's just a faint bit of caramel in there too but it's very subtle and right at the end.
Appearance - The beer pours a deep brown with a loosely bubbled tan head that recedes quickly, leaving behind just a thin film.
Flavor - The flavor is much more powerful than the aroma. It's sweet but not cloying and vanilla comes through in just the right amount. The milk chocolate flavors from the malts are now more a bit roasty and help to balance the beer. If you search hard enough, there's some faint coffee notes in there, too.
Mouthfeel - The carbonation just above medium and the body is medium. Typically I'd say the body would need to be fuller but in this case, the higher carbonation aids in ensuring that the beer doesn't linger on your tongue with its sweetness.
Overall Impression - Damn. This beer is good. It hits a lot of points of the style and comes through strong in flavor. I wish it had a richer, deeper aroma but that's just nitpicking at this point. A lot of people think of Schlafly as they were 5 or even 2 years ago, as a safe craft brewer. However, they keep doing new beers and pushing the envelope and if more people pick them back up, they're going to be pleasantly surprised.
