Our Thoughts: Yeah, yeah. Another BBA RIS with some fruit in it.....wait....from Urban Chestnut? Dayum! While nobody would ever accuse UCBC of being complacent, it seems as though they've been particularly aggressive recently with what they're putting out in bottles. Mark us down as a "yes" when this one hits distro. |

Brewery: Urban Chestnut Brewing Company |
Location: St. Louis, MO |
Name of Beer: Hopswitch Hersbrucker |
Beer Style: German Pilsner |
ABV: n/a |
Our Thoughts: If there's a beer style we can really dig, it's a pilsner. And if it's a German Pilsner, I trust Urban Chestnut more than any other local brewery to execute it well. This version uses the Hersbrucker hop exclusively for brewing and dry-hopping. That means you can expect earthy and citrusy notes. |

Name of Beer: Hopswitch Mandarina |
Beer Style: German Pilsner |
ABV: n/a |
Our Thoughts: So it's like the beer we just talked about, just with the hops switched? Hops switched? Hopswitch. OOOooohhhh. Got it. Anyway, this version of Hopswitch was brewed and dry-hopped exclusively with Mandarina hops. That's going to give it some huge tangerine and citrus. We reviewed another beer that used the Mandarina hops, Modus Mandarina, and were blown away by the flavor these hops can bring. Absolutely can't wait to try this one. |
