Brewery: 4 Hands Brewing Company |
Location: St. Louis, MO |
Name of Beer: Rubus Flux Ale |
Beer Style: Brett IPA w/ blackberries |
ABV: 7.0% |
Our Thoughts: A Brett IPA is something that 4 Hands does really, really well (case in point). This particular Brett IPA is actually going to be using Blackberries as well. Depending on the strain of brett used, the funky/fruity notes could REALLY pair up well with the blackberry. The only downside is that since this is just a keg label, it's probably just going on tap soon, not hitting shelves. |

Brewery: Mother's Brewing Company |
Location: Springfield, MO |
Name of Beer: Bermuda Style Imperial Three Blind Mice |
Beer Style: BA Imperial Brown Ale w/ Ginger and Lime |
ABV: 10.5% |
Our Thoughts: Imperial Three Blind Mice is a crowd pleaser for Mother's. It rates really well and people go crazy for it. The bourbon barrel aged version even more so. Now there's a version aged in rum barrels with ginger and lime as a nod to the Caribbean? We don't know what to expect in the flavor but we're definitely going to buy a bottle because it sounds intriguing as hell. |

Brewery: Crane Brewing Company |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Amber + Brett 4Ever |
Beer Style: Belgian Style Ale w/ Brettanomyces |
ABV: 6.8% |
Our Thoughts: Crane has exploded into STL recently with their fresh take on sour styles. We've reviewed a handful of their beers recently but our favorite was the Brett Farmhouse IPA. If this beer uses the same strain of Brett and tastes remotely similar, this one could be super solid. |

Brewery: Crane Brewing Company |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Barrel-Aged Tea Weiss |
Beer Style: Berliner Weiss w/ Tea |
ABV: 4.1% |
Our Thoughts: Yes, we're looking at two Crane beers this week. They actually got labels for Tea Weiss and BA Tea Weiss but we know how you animals love your BA beers so that's the one we're showing here. Using Hugo Berry Rooibos Tea (local to KC), this is sure to be interesting and we're sure to want a taste. |
