Brewery: Piney River Brewing Company |
Location: Bucyrus, MO |
Name of Beer: Raise A Ruckus |
Beer Style: Imperial Stout |
ABV: 10% |
Our Thoughts: Piney River has garnered some good press lately, including a recent spotlight in Beer Advocate magazine. This beer will earn them more attention. An Imperial Stout with coffee and vanilla beans is sure to pique a lot of interest. Even better news is that according to their 2017 release calendar, this will be packaged in 12 ounce can starting in January. For now, make sure to enjoy this on draft wherever you can. |

Brewery: Crane Brewing |
Location: Raytown, MO |
Name of Beer: Illuminati, Mexican Cake |
Beer Style: Imperial Stout |
ABV: 10.5% |
Our Thoughts: This beer will definitely make you do a double take and get the attention of any beer geek. A barrel aged imperial stout brewed with chillis, vanilla and cinnamon from a brewery specializing in saisons and berliner weisse style beers? Inconceivable! It sounds utterly delicious and will definitely be in high demand. |

Brewery: Urban Chestnut Brewing Company |
Location: St. Louis, MO |
Name of Beer: Winterroggen |
Beer Style: Roggenbier |
ABV: 5.5% |
Our Thoughts: Winterroggen is the latest offering in the Reverence Series from Urban Chestnut. A roggenbier is a medieval style ale brewed with rye. This adds spiciness and extra body. It's nice to see a historical style in the spotlight. Hopefully more brewers follow suit. |

Brewery: Boulevard Brewing Company |
Location: Kansas City , MO |
Name of Beer: Rye On Rye On Rye |
Beer Style: Rye Beer |
ABV: 14.6% |
Our Thoughts: This one will get a lot of people excited, myself included. Boulevard's Rye On Rye On Rye is a rye ale aged in first- use rye whiskey barrels then transferred to another set of first-use rye whiskey barrels for a second aging. Coming in at 14.6% ABV, this is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Bottles will be 750 ml, so get together with your best beer buddies and enjoy the deliciousness. |
