Brewery: Logboat and Pubic House |
Location: Columbia, MO |
Name of Beer: Twirlwind |
Beer Style: Stout |
ABV: 4.5% |
Our Thoughts: When two breweries decide to put their heads together and let the creative magic flow, it's always exciting to see what new libation results. This time around, Columbia's Logboat and St. James' Public House are teaming up to bring us not one, but TWO new beers. In celebration the True/False film festival, an annual festival that takes place March 1st-4th in Columbia, they have created Twirlwind, an American stout. Both of these breweries already produce some killer stouts on their own, so them teaming up makes is a can't miss release. |

Brewery: Boulevard |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Bou Lou |
Beer Style: Wheat Beer |
ABV: 5.0% |
Our Thoughts: For close to 30 years, Boulevard has continued to innovate and push boundaries, bringing real beer to beer lovers in Kansas City and beyond. Never one to rest on their laurels, they continue to release new takes on familiar styles. Their latest creation is Bou Lou, a wheat beer with pineapple and coconut added. This beer is seemingly inspired by the Caribou Lou cocktail, a drink consisting of coconut rum and pineapple juice and was made popular by rapper and Kansas City native Tech N9ne. Look for this to be packaged in 16 ounce cans. |
