Brewery: Main and Mill |
Location: Festus, MO |
Name of Beer: Barrel-Aged Imperial Mexican Chocolate Stout |
Beer Style: Imperial Stout |
ABV: 12.0% |
Our Thoughts: If you need another "can't miss beer release" in your life, look no further. Main and Mill are brewing up a doozy that will get the attention of every beer geek within a 50 mile radius. As part of their barrel aged imperial series, they are releasing an imperial stout aged in Buffalo Trace barrels with cacao nibs, cinnamon, Mexican vanilla beans and a blend of ancho and New Mexican chile peppers. Just typing that sentence gave us goosebumps. This will definitely be in high demand and highly limited, so make sure you go the release on Saturday February 24th at 11 AM at Main and Mill's upstairs taproom. |

Brewery: Boulevard |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Linkin' Up |
Beer Style: IPA |
ABV: 6.2% |
Our Thoughts: Boulevard might be a player on the national beer scene, but they haven't forgotten their humble beginnings. They are teaming up with Zipline Brewing Company, a small brewery and taproom located in Lincoln, Nebraska to create Linkin' Up, a "hop dust" IPA. Lupulin powder (or hop dust) is said to provide more powerful aromas and flavors and greater efficiency than using traditional whole cone hops or pellets during the brewing process. Zipline produces a bevy of quality brews, including a Copper Alt that won a gold medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2015, and we think you're all familiar with Boulevard's fine family of brews, so this definitely should be a match made in heaven. |

Brewery: Logboat |
Location: Columbia, MO |
Name of Beer: Cerberus |
Beer Style: Belgian Style Dark Ale |
ABV: 10.6% |
Our Thoughts: In Greek mythology, Cerberus was the monstrous multi-headed dog that guarded the gates of the Underworld. What's not a myth, however, is that Logboat makes some of our favorite beers and probably some of yours too. Their year round lineup is one of the best around and their seasonals are hotly anticipated. Their draft game is no slouch either, and coming soon to the mayhem is Cerberus, a Belgian Style Dark Ale. Logboat hasn't done a ton of Belgian style beers, so it will great to get their take on a classic style. If you love big, boozy beasts, make sure you check this one out. |

Brewery: Torn Label |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Mansion Brew |
Beer Style: Imperial Wheat Stout |
ABV: 8.8% |
Our Thoughts: Torn Label gets lots of love from local craft beer drinkers in Kansas City, and rightly so. Since 2014 they've brought various brewing influences together to create fresh and adventurous beers. Now they're keeping the hits coming with Mansion Brew, an imperial wheat stout brewed with coffee, presumably from a local coffee roaster. This is exactly the kind of innovative and creative beer that keeps people coming back to Torn Label. Look for this on a tap handle in the near future. |

Brewery: Narrow Gauge |
Location: Florissant, MO |
Name of Beer: Queen Fallen Flag |
Beer Style: Imperial IPA |
ABV: 7.6% |
Our Thoughts: They say that every king needs his queen. True to this adage and hot off the heels of the release of King Fallen Flag, an Imperial version of Fallen Flag, their IPA dry hopped with Citra and Mosaic hops comes his better half in Queen Fallen Flag, an Imperial IPA brewed with honey. We love how Narrow Gauge keeps us haze enthusiasts happy and always gives us something to buzz about. Watch social media for release details. |
