Brewery: Boulevard |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Boulevardia |
Beer Style: Sparkling Ale |
ABV: 5.17% |
Our Thoughts: For this year's Boulevardia street festival, Kansas City's Boulevard Brewing Company has teamed up with Bucyrus's own Piney River Brewing Company to grace us with Boulevardia Sparkling Ale. Inspired by the history of the Stockyards District, this beer should prove to be crisp, highly carbonated, flavorful and immensely drinkable. It will be the perfect companion to your Boulevardia experience. This beer will only be available on draft at the festival, June 16th and 17th, located in the Stockyards District in KC. Brewery: Boulevard |
Location: Kansas City, MO |
Name of Beer: Berliner Weisse |
Beer Style: German-Style Sour Ale |
ABV: 3.8% |
Our Thoughts: Flavorful, low alcohol beers have definitely seen a resurgence in the past few years. The Berliner Weisse is a historical style that brewers have embraced for it's tart, refreshing citrus flavors and the ability to have a few and still keep your wits about you. It's a style we're sure that Boulevard can nail and we're excited to have another sessionable option on the table. Boulevard's Berliner Weisse should be hitting shelves in August, just in time to quench your thirst from the summer heat. |

Brewery: Mother's |
Location: Springfield, MO |
Name of Beer: Nitro Grind |
Beer Style: Nitrogenated Coffee Stout |
ABV: 6.0% |
Our Thoughts: If you're like us (and if you're reading this, we're pretty sure we have at least a few things in common) then you know how awesome it is to walk into a good craft beer bar or brewpub and see a nitro tap. From watching the pour to savoring the deliciousness, there's just something mesmerizing about the whole process. That's why we're super pumped to see that Mother's has taken their classic coffee stout that's brewed with local Mudhouse coffee and nitrogenated it. This will add a creamy and smooth mouthfeel, cut the bitterness back a bit and most likely bring out other flavors not usually evident in the beer. Sounds rad to us! Sometimes, a little gas is a good thing. |
