Our Thoughts: If you love both hops and hot peppers, Bur Oak has got your new favorite beer. Tractor Fire is an ale brewed with chipotle peppers. Weighing in at 15-30,000 Scoville units, they are hotter than jalapenos, but provide savory, earthy, smoky flavors and aromas. Most of the beers on the market that are brewed with chipotles are porters or stouts, as the roasty malts complement the smoky pepper flavors. We're not sure of the base beer style of Tractor Fire, so we're intrigued by where Bur Oak is going to take this one. Bottoms up! |
