We interrupt your regularly scheduled edition of New Brew News to bring you the following bulletin: 4 Hands is releasing an exciting new beer! City Wide Pils is coming to both enrich your life and help others in the St. Louis community. Everybody wins! Isn’t beer (and 4 Hands) amazing?
We all know and love City Wide Pale Ale. Now, help us welcome City Wide Pils to the 4 Hands family, This American Pilsner combines a German lager yeast with American grown malt and Citra hops. This produces the crisp, clean taste of a classic German pilsner married to the tropical and citrus flavors of everyone’s favorite hop, Citra. Seeing as this is 4 Hands’ first Pilsner and their only lager, we were extremely eager to see how it stacked up. We’ll let Barney Gumble sum up our thoughts:
Yeah, it’s pretty darn good. We can definitely see crushing a few of these this summer. This will not be available on draft, so look for 4 packs of 16 ounce cans on shelves starting March 22nd.
City Wide Pils is a part of the City Wide project, which gives 4 Hands the opportunity to help out the St. Louis community by donating a percentage of the proceeds to local non profit organizations. Nebula, a collaborative workplace for independent contractors, non profits, artists and creative professionals; CIC St. Louis, a shared space with private offices, labs and co-working, built for startups and thinkers and TechArtista, a collaborative working environment, will all benefit from sales of City Wide Pils. We think it’s wonderful that 4 Hands is so dedicated to the St. Louis community and shows it in an awesome, beery way. Support your local brewer and support your neighbors at the same time!
If that wasn’t enough to get you all atwitter, there’s even more good news: Guava King, a new seasonal from 4 Hands, will be hitting shelves starting Tuesday! Weighing in at4.5% ABV and 14 IBU, this tart wheat ale fermented with guava produces aromas of tropical fruit balanced by a light, tangy acidity that makes this another must have for any social gathering in the near future.
Hopefully this wonderful news brightens your day. So, from all of us here, we’d like to say happy drinking, my friend.
