Nashville spots to murder your thirst at!
Having some free time leaves me itchy, thirsty and I have no idea what to do with my hands. I considered many different, amazing, beer cities from my rolling list and Nashville, TN just seemed obvious. Beer lovers are flocking to Nashville to experience the cities ever growing beer scene. Having sampled a few beers from breweries like Southern Grist and Yazoo I knew it was time. I hopped in my car and took the 4 1/2 day trip to quench my curiosity!
Here are a few spots you should consider!

Brewery: Bearded Iris |
Beer I Loved: Double Homestyle |
Address: 101 Van Buren St, Nashville, TN 37208 |
Similar to in STL: 2nd Shift & Narrow Gauge |
Description: IPA GALORE!! But that's not all that Bearded Iris has to offer. They also have some super crispy lagers, THICC stouts, and quirky vibes. The brewery sits inside of a super chill warehouse location with plenty of seating and a pool table. The view of the open brewhouse aint nothin' to shake your finger at! |

Brewery: Southern Grist |
Beer I Loved: Bean There, Brown That |
Address: 5012 Centennial Blvd, Nashville, TN 37209 |
Similar to in STL: Narrow Gauge |
Description: Boy, this brewery brews TONS of crowd favorites. New England Style IPA, Heavily Fruited Sours, Sweet Stouts and brews them all fantastically. Southern Grist also offers a super friendly staff, an extensive collection of hats (and other merch) and 2 beautiful locations to choose from! |

Brewery: Yazoo |
Beer I Loved: SUE |
Address: 900 River Bluff Dr, Madison, TN 37115 |
Similar to in STL: Schlafly & Rockwell |
Description: Located in a BRAND SPANKIN NEW location in (technically) Madison, TN this brewery has an extensive tap-list featuring both clean beers and a selection of sour beers from their "Embrace the Funk" series. On top of that they have a gorgeous section of outdoor seating that will put your mind into a state of topographical beer euphoria. ugh |

Brewery: New Heights |
Beer I Loved: Mango & Tajin Gose |
Address: 928 5th Ave S, Nashville, TN 37203 |
Similar to in STL: 4 Hands |
Description: Nearing the top of a hill sits New Heights Brewing Company. This place had quite the diverse tap-list featuring almost everything you could possibly imagine. Spiced beers, pilsner, ipa, fruited sours, browns etc.. All of which (that I tried) were super well done. A very clean and simple tasting room was just what I needed during this trip. |
So there you have it! Nashville and its beer scene spoke absolute volumes and I will definitely return! There was so much delicious beer that selecting my usual 4 was terribly difficult. Not once was I disappointed which made the 4 1/2 hour trip feel like I just drove down the street!
