Best Quote During Tasting
I have one skill in life and that's filling a glass to the top without spilling.
Justin:
Aroma - This one smells extremely tart with huge brett character (barnyard, slight leather and even slighter cherry pie). Not much else to find. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - This one pours a super cloudy orange with a thin white head that leaves quickly. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - In the same way, the tartness is big but the FUNK is even bigger. It's got the horse blanket and barnyard character brett can have but it's on the big end. The wine barrel character is hiding behind the huge yeast flavors but they're there on the back end. There isn't much else to it. |
Score: 15/20 |
Mouthfeel - The carbonation is medium+ and the body is light-medium. |
Score: 3/5 |
Overall Impression - If you like brett, this is the beer for you. After being in wine barrels for three years, I really expected more pop from that but I didn't get any. It's not something I would probably drink again but I'm glad I got to try it because I love trying beers that are "different" and this one is definitely in that category. |
Score: 8/10 |
