Justin:
Aroma - Some alcohol on the nose, slightly metallic, some chocolate and roasted malts. |
Score: 8/12 |
Appearance - Deep brown with a thin, tan head. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - This one was quite sweet. It had some chocolate notes from the malt and definitely had roasted malt character although it didn't come across as coffee. No real hop character, most bitterness was malt related. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium body, medium-high carbonation. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - I had high expectations based on some of the other beers coming out of their Reverence Series but this one didn't do it for me. While it's rated somewhat high because it really is true to style, it just isn't something that I'll be searching out in the future. |

Blake:
Aroma - Roasted coffee and a bit of chocolate sweetness. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - Dark brown with a thin head that leaves a bit of lacing. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Coffee from the roasted malts. Plus sweet milk chocolate. It's a lot sweeter than you would expect the style to be. Very little bitterness. Tastes more like a Milk Stout than a Foreign Extra Stout. |
Score: 14/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium body with medium carbonation with a slightly sweet finish. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - It's a decent beer, but out of their current mix pack, this has possibly been my least favorite. If it's on tap and I'm craving a stout I'd most likely give it another go. If this beer is one of your weaker beers, I'd say you are doing alright. |
Score: 7/10 |
