You actually said that to her? I bet that didn't end well.
Aroma - Resin and pine greet you as a subtle grapefruit brings up the rear. The malts are a formidable opponent to the hops and bring some nice white bread to the table.
Appearance - A crystal clear gold beer sits in the glass as a bright white, thick, tightly bubbled head stays perched on top.
Flavor - The resin and pine again are the big players and the balance is towards the bitterness. The malts try hard to stay in line with them but lose the battle. It's got a little bit more spice and pine than citrus but I'm not complaining.
Mouthfeel - The body is medium and the carbonation matches it. It's smooth on the tongue and goes down easy.
Overall Impression - Now this is a nice little IPA. It's got great balance and doesn't melt your mouth with IBUs. The aroma and flavor really matched well and it made for a cohesive drinking experience from the minute it pours in your glass. I'm not sure if/when Springfield plans on bringing their brews to STL but I'll be ready to buy some when they do.
