It was too much pee to be from the dog.
Justin:
Aroma - All hops. There's something for everyone! Spiciness, sweet fruit (grapes?), grapefruit and, as the name would imply, some nice resin notes. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - Pours clear gold with a thin, off-white head comprised of tight bubbles. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Man, you can taste the alcohol in it. It's a little "hot" and boy is it hoppy. I'm getting a little bit of that sweet fruit (grapes again?) type of flavor as well as all those dank, resinous hops. Great combos and nicely balanced. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium body, medium carbonation and finishes semi-dry. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - This did not disappoint. If you can read the name on the can and know anything about the Imperial IPA style, you know EXACTLY what you're getting into with this one. It was very well executed and I would love to be able to pick this one up for a Friday night. Maybe they'll distribute to STL someday? One can hope. |
Score: 9/10 |
