You don't buy beer as a status symbol or only to trade it, you buy it to drink.
Justin:
Aroma - Sulfur out the wazoo! Some lemony sweetness mixes with some acetic tartness. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - A very pale straw with a fluffy bright white head. One of the prettiest beers I've ever seen. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Some sulfur and some nice funk from the brett. The sweetness is there with distinct uncooked flour notes from the malt. |
Score: 17/20 |
Mouthfeel - High carbonation, medium+ body. Finishes dry. |
Score: 3/5 |
Overall Impression - This may be the most sacrilegious thing that has ever been spoken about a Side Project beer: It's good but not great. Don't get me wrong, I would pay full price for this beer all day and it was delicious. However, all of the other beers I've had from SP far surpassed this one. |

Blake:
Aroma - Bright lemony scent with a lot of sulfur present. Pale malts are very present, as is a heaping of funk. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - Pale yellow with a fluffy white head that lasts for ages. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - You sure can taste the presence of brett in this one. Nice grain notes, with a slight bit of must are enhanced by the funky tartness of the beer. Plenty of citrus notes blend well with the grain flavors present in the beer. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - High carbonation that imparts an almost creamy feel to the beer at times. Medium body with a semi-dry finish. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - Honestly, had I not had this side-by-side with Hill Farmstead's Clara, this might have gotten a few more points from me. This is a great beer, but Side Project produces so many, that it's hard to grade them on a higher curve at times. Just like anything they produce, you feel lucky just to be trying it. |
Score: 8/10 |
