Aroma - Slightly grainy sweetness takes a backseat to the bold German hops that come across as spicy and herbal. It's actually quite complex between those two pieces as there's a lot of depth that doesn't come across in writing. |

Appearance - The beer is a crystal clear straw gold with an eggshell white head made up of small and large bubbles. The head sticks around for a few minutes before becoming a thin film with bubbles still forming a ring at the edges. |

Flavor - The hops are quite big with spicy notes and bitterness making a big statement for the style. Not to be left behind, the malts are toasted cracker and white bread and their sweetness matches the bitterness of the hops quite nicely. The hops are a bit much for the style but damn, they're delicious. |

Overall Impression - I love this beer. I really, really loved it. The hops were slightly more than what they should've been for the style but that was my favorite part. I would've scored it even higher in flavor if I weren't trying to hold it to what the BJCP says it should be. The score may seem on the high side but this one hits damn near every point it should. I would absolutely, positively keep this in my fridge all summer long as my everyday beer. The finish is clean and crisp and the hops make this one an easy and fun to drink macro alternative. |
