I was going to say "bubbly" but "high carbonation" sounds better, I guess.
Justin:
Aroma - The aroma has a little bit of sulfur initially but that quickly leaves and sweet strawberry comes through. It's not necessarily strong and it doesn't come across as unnatural. There are subtle bread notes if you look hard enough. Overall it's not a very strong aroma. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - The beer is a clear light shade or red, almost a light amber. The head is bright and white but resides quickly. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - The strawberry is very apparent but again, it doesn't come across as unnatural. The malts are there as bread dough and white bread which makes sense for a wheat beer. |
Score: 15/20 |
Mouthfeel - The carbonation is high and the body is just under medium and it finishes dry. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - The thing I was happiest about here is that this came across as a beer with fruit in it, not a fruited beer. For me, there's a huge difference. The strawberry was soft enough to be found without overwhelming or coming off as artificial. This will treat you right this summer. |
