There was an Italian girl in school once….
Justin:
Aroma - A little sulfur up front, a little lemon, corn and malt. No hops noticeable. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - Head is thin and off-white, beer is light gold |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - It's got a distinct flavor of corn and there are no real flavors of hops to be found. Crisp, and clean. |
Score: 14/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium-high carbonation. Light in the body with a dry finish. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - My final verdict on this one is that it's a fairly average beer. While at no point was I disappointed while drinking it, it never had anything that jumped out to me as above average. The one true positive for this one is that I feel like it would please a lot of people who were just dipping their toes into the craft beer water. For that reason, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who needed to get their feet wet. |

Blake:
Aroma - Grain, lemon, sweet corn, and light malt. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - Golden straw colored with a thin white head. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - A bit of caramel from the malt, and a decent amount of corn. No hop presence detected. |
Score: 14/20 |
Mouthfeel - Light body, with creamy finish. (So many jokes here...) |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - It has a fairly decent score because we judge by style, but overall I'm just not a huge fan of cream ales in general. I like a bit more flavor in my beers. I'd still pick this beer long before a lot of similar styles, but wouldn't ever be a go to beer of mine. |
Score: 7/10 |
