Justin:
Aroma - A tart and sweet lemony citrusness, is the only thing I'm getting but it's all that I need to get. Smells phenomenal. |
Score: 12/12 |
Appearance - Crystal clear pale gold with a fluffy white head. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - The only way to describe this is that it tastes like an alcoholic sprite. Not in a "Not Your Father's Root Beer" kind of way but in a "this is still beer but it tastes kinda like sprite" kind of wa. There's the slight tartness that comes with the style but it's very lemony and citrusy. Amazing. |
Score: 19/20 |
Mouthfeel - Finishes dry, medium-high carbonation, medium body. |
Score: 5/5 |
Overall Impression - Holy cow was this drinkable and delicious. This is one of, if not the best Berliner's I've every head. The sweetness, tartness and citrus play so well together and at 3.8%, I would probably down a six pack of this at a summer party with ease. I highly recommend this if you ever see it on the shelf. Unfortunately they don't distribute in Missouri...so....the shelf will have to be near Chicago if you want to try it. |

Blake:
Aroma - Lemon and lime with a really pleasant sour tartness. Smells absolutely delicious. |
Score: 12/12 |
Appearance - Pale yellow/gold with surprising clarity. Very appealing fluffy white head. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - It's a citrus bomb. Just a lot of lemon and lime mixed with some really nice funk. Some nice white bread/cracker notes lie underneath everything from the pale malts. Very well balanced. |
Score: 19/20 |
Mouthfeel - Crisp, refreshing, with high carbonation and dry finish. |
Score: 5/5 |
Overall Impression - This is one of those beers that I can't understand why it isn't rated higher on sites like Untappd and BeerAdvocate. Everyone at our tasting thought it was pretty amazing. This is one of those beers that if I saw it somewhere I'd have to get a pour. The low ABV makes it that much easier to justify. |
Score: 9/10 |
