Best Quote During Tasting
I find it hilarious that they've trademarked "We love beer" so nobody else can say it.
Justin:
Aroma - There's a sticky hop aroma that has orange zest, grapefruit and subtle berry. The malts are caramel, pie crust and honey. All together, it's damn good. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - The beer pours a light gold, with an off-white head that starts small and resides quickly but never fully leaves. The bubbles in the head are large and small and not tightly compacted. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - The first thing I get is caramel malts blasting through. The hops are hidden behind a big, sweet malt presence. When they do show up, the hops are slightly resinous and only subtly fruity with orange notes leading the way. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - The carbonation is just above medium and the body is medium for a pleasant and refreshing beer. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - This one had some big malts and some big hops on the nose. The hops were unfortunately overshadowed in the flavor by those big malts which made this one score a little lower than it could have. It was very good and I can guarantee it'll be in my fridge this summer for guests and for grilling consumption. |
Score: 7/10 |
