How does that moron score free beer?
Justin:
Aroma - The first thing I get is some sweet, fruity esters from the yeast. That's quickly followed by wheat bread notes and toasted pecans. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - The beer pours a very clear, light brown with a thin, tan head that quickly erodes to a slick film. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - The first sip came with a big wave of sweet wheat bread. After that, the beer showed notes of toasted almonds/pecans, crisp pie crust and some slight raisin. It also finished fairly sweet. |
Score: 15/20 |
Mouthfeel - There is high carbonation with a medium body. Didn't expect it to be carbed so much. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - The carbonation on this one really helped its score for me. It made this dark beer incredibly refreshing and the flavors did mix very well together. It doesn't stand out in any particular fashion but it's a darn good brown ale and it's very drinkable. |
Score: 8/10 |
