We're going to celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving on our Honeymoon.
Really, where are you going?
Mexico.

Justin:
Aroma - Smells sweet with no hop presence. A few "pumpkin" spices but nothing dominates. I honest-to-god think I might be detecting some pumpkin. It's more like sweet potato but it's definitely something. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - Cloudy and amber. No real head when poured and it didn't stick around. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - The spices are fairly subdued for this compared to other pumpkin beers. It allows for some sweetness to come through and it all goes very well together. |
Score: 15/20 |
Mouthfeel - The beer has thin body and medium carbonation. |
Score: 3/5 |
Overall Impression - This pumpkin beer goes right down the middle for me. It's easy to say that I've had better but I've also had much, much worse. Since they don't distribute a lot of their beers, if you have yet to give Kirkwood Station a try, I recommend going to their brewery to sample this seasonal and while you're there, be sure to try out some of their flagships. |
