What does your grandma's basement smell like?
Justin:
Aroma - Peaches and apricot jump out quickly. There's a small bit of sulfur that comes out as well but it's a pleasant mix with the fruit notes. Some tartness is present but not overwhelming. |

Appearance - Pours a clear gold with a thick, white head that clings to the glass. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - A wonderful mix of sweet and tart. Stone fruits (peach and apricot among others) blend well with the slight funk from the yeast. There wasn't much alcohol to be tasted and the bacteria is subtle and works well overall. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - Finishes dry with medium+ carbonation and medium body |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - While not blowing my socks off, it was quite pleasant to drink. The tartness was just above mild and it was VERY easy to drink considering the ABV. While it may not be easy to acquire, it is something I'd recommend trying if you get the opportunity. |
Score: 9/10 |
