Did you do the "Ace Ventura" crying shower after that?
Justin:
Aroma - It's got a big caramel and bread crust quality to it that actually pops out more than the hops. There is also a small bit sulfur at the end. The hops are mostly earthy with a little bit of floral. |
Score: 9/12 |
Appearance - The beer is a clear gold with a fluffy white head made up of tight bubbles. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - The bitterness is what gets me first because it wasn't expected. The malts are slight caramel, pie crust, bread crust and wheat bread. The hops are mostly spicy and provide a nice, bitter base. |
Score: 15/20 |
Mouthfeel - The body is medium and the carbonation is above medium for a crisp feel. |
Score: 3/5 |
Overall Impression - This one is very drinkable but it's "light" in aroma and flavor for the style. As an APA, this would do quite well but as an IPA I was looking for a little bit more. |
Score: 7/10 |
