Justin:
Aroma - This one is big on pine with a little bit of caramel and bread crust sneaking in behind it. There's a little bit of resin but not much else going on. |
Score: 8/12 |
Appearance - It's a slightly hazy gold with a thin white head that goes down to a slick film. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - It's caramelly sweet with bread crust, and pie crust coming across equally. The hops are bitter but don't bring a whole lot of flavor beyond the pine and sight resin. |
Score: 14/20 |
Mouthfeel - The body is medium and the carbonation is medium without lively bubbles. |
Score: 3/5 |
Overall Impression - I was underwhelmed by this one. The born on date didn't indicate that it was old but the hops were quite weak. The bitterness was at a level that was nice but without the flavor of hops to accompany it, I was left wanting more. |
Score: 6/10 |
