Did he just say "Burrito Torpedo?"
Aroma - This one is mostly malts with toffee and caramel forming a sweet mixture. The hops come in a distant second and are slightly woody and earthy with just a hint of spiciness.
Appearance - The beer is a clear, medium to deep amber with a tan head that stays a quarter inch thick as you drink it.
Flavor - The beer is again malt forward (bread crust and caramel mostly) and brings some big sweetness. At 7%, you can actually taste a little bit of alcohol as well. The hops are again hard to find and as hard as they try to balance the malts, they're no match. There is a bit of fruitiness to the beer from the yeast and it finishes semi-dry.
Mouthfeel - The body is medium and the carbonation is medium as well. It's a little light on the tongue and would've been nicer with a bigger body.
Overall Impression - This one was a middle of the road kinda beer. It wasn't awesome but it was by no means bad. The alcohol flavor was a bit much for the ABV and the sweetness was a tad too much as well. Now, would I classify it as a winter warmer? Absolutely. So at face value it does what it says it will and that's cool I guess. I would drink a glass happily at a bar but I would move on after one to try something new.
