Best Quote During Tasting
It looks like a beer that Barbie would drink.
Justin:
Aroma - Tart and sweet. You get blueberry but it's not overpowering. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - Pink, slightly cloudy and absolutely no head whatsoever. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - The tartness is what comes through most in the flavor. It's very tart but in a refreshing way. The acidity hides any spicy character from the yeast. It's similar to a sparkling wine. |
Score: 18/20 |
Mouthfeel - The best word I can come up with is "effervescent." It features a dry finish, and the slight pucker from the tartness is nice. It's refreshing. |
Score: 5/5 |
Overall Impression - I was quite impressed with this offering. At it's availability and price point, it's not one to hang on to for aging or trading but I could see it being a "go-to" for what I bring for special occasions. It's a heckuva beer that would pair well with a fruity dessert at a housewarming party. |

Blake:
Aroma - Sweet blueberry and a bit ot tart funkiness. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - This beer pours bright pink. Not sure what I was expecting when opened, but it wasn't that color. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - Slightly sour and tart with a nice blueberry finish. Slightly acidic, but still pleasing nonetheless. |
Score: 17/20 |
Mouthfeel - High carbonation with a dry finish. Very crisp, similar to a sparkling wine. |
Score: 5/5 |
Overall Impression - I bought this for a friend as part of a number of beers for his 30th birthday. Glad that this one turned out so well, because I didn't see a whole lot of reviews on it. I'm very interested to try a number of other beers in this series. |
Score: 8/10 |
