I've never said "I only want half" about any food ever.
Fruity and tart. The raspberry is very faint. More of the fruit aroma seems to stem from the yeast character. Crisp scents of apple and bright citrus give way to the sour elements of the beer. Tangy across the board.
Much to my surprise this was a dark golden color with a creamy white head. I wrongly assumed that a beer with pureed raspberries would have a slight red tint to it.
Great funk and tartness with dry raspberry, cherry, and cranberry. Slightly vinous in character, which adds a very wine like quality to the beer. This might be a bit to tart for a casual wine drinker, but isn't a huge leap to make. Mellowing the beer out slightly is some of the wheat characteristics, and a slight bit of maltiness. It's a bit hidden by stronger notes of the beer, but it helps keep it well rounded.
Medium body, and medium + carbonation. Slightly dry finish.
This was my third bottle in a night of Bruery sours, and the acidity was starting to wear on me. However, the beer was so good that it was hard to put down my glass. It was opened at a Christmas celebration and surprisingly was very fitting with the occasion because of the spices and the fruit.
