Last week I watched two little people strippers kick a guy in the junk for 10 minutes.
Aroma - Malt notes of caramel and honey mix with big citrus (grapefruit and orange zest) from the hops.
Appearance - The beer pours a clear, pale gold with a thin, white head that lingers.
Flavor - Much of the flavor mimics the aroma: Caramel, honey, grapefruit, tropical fruit, and a clear malt sweetness that works to balance out the hops.
Mouthfeel - Medium body, medium carbonation and a semi-dry finish
Overall Impression - I expected a lot out of this one because I'm a huge fan of Galaxy hops. While it was good, and I'd even recommend to hop heads, it fell just a bit short of my expectations. The sweetness from the malt was just a bit too much and threw the balance off just enough. Again, it's a great beer and I just went in with expectations above where the beer landed.
Aroma - Very citrus forward with orange zest and grapefruit shining through from the hops. There is some floral notes in there as well, and a nice sweetness from the malt as well.
Appearance - Pale gold with a thin white head.
Flavor - Very nice citrus flavors mixed with a malty backbone that gives a bit of caramel, biscuits, and honey sweetness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall Impression - This one was pretty well balanced. It might not be the hop bomb some IPA fans are looking for, but it's a solid beer all around.
