Yeah, we started calling it "No bra New York."
Justin:
Aroma - It's a sweet, biscuit and bread malt aroma that comes out first. The hops come in right behind with pleasant floral notes. No esters, as a lager should be. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - It's a clear, light gold with a sparkling white head that leaves as quickly as it shows up. |
Score: 2/3 |
Flavor - The same white bread, biscuity, character from the malt is here and the hops now have a great bitterness to accompany their floral and slightly fruity notes. |
Score: 16/20 |
Mouthfeel - The carbonation is medium+ and the body is medium for a crisp, palate cleansing effect. Perfect. |
Score: 5/5 |
Overall Impression - Why don't lagers get much love? This one was excellently executed and was extremely spot on for the style. That's how we rate beers. Do I like the mouthfeel of a big stout better than a helles lager? Yep. Was the mouthfeel on this beer as perfect as it could be for a lager? Yep. I'm a baller on a budget so I'll buy great beers without the the hype all day long. |
Score: 8/10 |
