I don't work at capacity. If I did, they'd expect more.
Aroma - There are a lot of sweet malt aromas and some perceptible "white bread" character. For an IPA, there are very minimal hops. From what I do get, the hops are more floral than anything else. But...where the hops at?
Appearance - The beer pours straw colored with a thin, white head that doesn't leave the beer.
Flavor - The malt comes across with caramel sweetness. The hops are pungeant, dank, resinous, citrus and have just a bit of spiciness. TOTALLY different from the aroma!
Mouthfeel - Medium+ carbonation, medium body and finishes semi-dry.
Overall Impression - What the heck happened on the aroma? There was a TON of hop flavor and that's what's so confusing about this one. Yes, I know how beer works so I'm sure there were some late boil additions which is where the bombastic flavors came from. Likewise, if I had to guess, I would say that there was no dry hopping on this one. It's purely speculative because I don't know their recipe but I'm sure that if there was dry hopping, it was subtle. If the aroma kicked up a notch, this beer would be a lot more solid.
