I used a plug cutter to make the hole.
That sounds dirty but I know it isn't.
Aroma - The hops are HUGE with pineapple and resin leading the charge. Grapefruit is right there and the malts are bread crust and caramel (although they don't stand a chance next to the hops).
Appearance - The beer is a hazy gold with a tight, white head that leaves sticky lacing.
Flavor - The bitterness is right up front with a soft sweetness from the honey to bring it back into balance. The pineapple again comes pouring out in a huge way but there's grapefruit, too. Very well balanced. Finishes semi-dry.
Mouthfeel - The body is medium+ and the carbonation is medium. It's heavy on the tongue but not too dense. Very pleasant.
Overall Impression - Man, this was good. The hops and fruit played together so well it was hard to see where one stopped and the other began. The bitterness was perfectly matched by the sweet malts so while it was unmistakably a DIPA, it wasn't at any point overwhelming.
