Justin:
Aroma - This is amazing. After a brief whiff of sulfur, there's very juicy orange zest and peach with some subtle grapefruit at the end. Once those flavors are gone some white pepper breaks through. |
Score: 12/12 |
Appearance - The beer is slightly hazy and a bright, light gold. There's a HUGE fluffy white head with large and small bubbles. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - There's some subtle funk from the yeast but the brett is letting the hops do their thing. It's got some great juicy hop flavors to it with a surprisingly present lemon, some grapefruit and a semi-dry finish. |
Score: 18/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium+ carbonation with a medium body. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - Wowza. I really enjoyed this one. I did NOT expect the brett to take a backseat like it did. It was amazing. Crazy drinkable and crazy delicious. I've had other Constellations but I don't remember them standing out like this one did. I can't wait to try the new Mosaic version that just came out! |

Blake:
Aroma - The aroma is fantastic. Very dank and juicy. Hits you with a ton of resinous hops and then follows with the sweet juicy hops. The hops overwhelm the funkiness from the brett, but it's there. |
Score: 12/12 |
Appearance - Hazy straw colored body with a fluffy white head. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Just all around juicy. It's a bit of a citrus bomb, but in the best way possible. The slight tartness from the brett compliments the hop profile so well. It's hard to believe there isn't any orange, grapefruit, or lemon in here since the citrus notes are so big. |
Score: 18/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium body that is helped by a healthy amount of carbonation. Slick mouthfeel complements the juicy flavors. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - I think I used juicy too many times, but really that was the best way to describe this beer. I really wish I had an extra of this one because I thought it was all around fantastic. It's another great example from 4 Hands that a beer doesn't have to be a super limited release to be a great beer. The mosaic hop version was released this past weekend, and shouldn't be too hard to find. Don't pass it up! |
