If I'm at a work happy hour, I take 3 or 4 shots by myself before I'm forced to socialize.
Justin:
Aroma - A lot of great aromas are coming from these hops: Grapefruit, peaches and even a hint of bubblegum. Some caramel from the malt is there but don't be fooled, this one is all about the hops. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - Clear, vibrant gold with a thick off-white head that sticks to the glass. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Amazingly smooth with so much juiciness from the actual peaches used but also from the hops. Grapefruit, peaches and orange notes all come through. The caramel that I got in the aroma also comes through in a subtle way in the flavor. |
Score: 18/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium+ body with medium carbonation. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - One of the greatest aspects of this beer is the balance. The balance is just great. The fruit matches the hoppiness perfectly and the malt balances the hops out perfectly. There have been a lot of good collaborations lately with Missouri breweries and some big time national guys (see Collaboration No. 5.) and I hope it's a trend that continues. |

Blake:
Aroma - Lots of citrus and pine. The peach is really subtle but it's there. It adds a different kind of sweetness that you don't normally get on these beers with tropical fruit notes. |
Score: 10/12 |
Appearance - Very clear deep yellow with a robust white head. Plenty of lacing left on the glass. |
Score: 3/3 |
Flavor - Dank hop/pine resin, with lots of grapefruit, mango, and oranges. The peach notes are stand out from the tropical fruits and adds to the flavor of a very juicy IPA. |
Score: 17/20 |
Mouthfeel - Medium body and medium carbonation with smooth clean finish. |
Score: 4/5 |
Overall Impression - I'm still seeing this all over town, and I know as soon as it is gone I'm going to wish it was back. Let's hope that 4 Hands and Stone do more collaborations in the future. |
Score: 9/10 |
