Brewery: Narrow Gauge |
Location: Florissant, MO |
Name of Beer: Kofe |
Beer Style: Imperial Stout |
ABV: 9.5% |
Our Thoughts: It's no secret we're big fans of Narrow Gauge. We've gladly made the drive to Florissant many a time to get growlers, crowlers, (and finally, cans!) of their hazy, juicy treasures. Their IPA's are some of the best on the planet and have garnered much well deserved attention. However, we know they are not a one-dimensional brewery. Any style they choose to produce will no doubt be top notch. That's why we're so excited to share this new beer from Narrow Gauge. Kofe will be an imperial stout aged on coffee beans. With cooler weather coming, this will keep you warm and tickle your taste buds with roasty chocolate and coffee flavors. No doubt this will be in high demand, so start planning now to visit Narrow Gauge to partake in the awesomeness. |

Brewery: O'Fallon |
Location: Maryland Heights, MO |
Name of Beer: Borrowed Barrel |
Beer Style: Imperial Stout |
ABV: 10.0% |
Our Thoughts: From their humble beginnings in 2000, O'Fallon has grown to become a major player in the St. Louis beer community. They have continued to refine their beers and tweak their lineup to focus on their strengths and provide us with quality brews. Never ones to shy away from big beers, O'Fallon will be gracing us with Borrowed Barrel, an imperial stout brewed with vanilla. Big stouts and vanilla are a natural pair, as the vanilla adds its own flavors and sweetness and complements the roasty chocolate notes of the imperial stout. Vanilla is a wildly popular ingredient added to many brewery's imperial stouts, so we're excited to see how O'Fallon's version stacks up. Look for this on draft soon. |
