Don’t go too crazy on Thanksgiving because you’ll want to save room for what happens two days later. On November 25th and 26th, The Taproom at Crane Brewing will host their Grand Opening Celebration. The Crane Crew has also saved several special beers from the past year to put on tap in their new space for the event. If that wasn’t enough, they’ll also have their usual food partner, Greg-Co BBQ on site serving his amazing BBQ.

For the past year the KC powerhouse has been working on a new space that is as unique, rustic, and splendid as their beers. The Taproom will feature antique porcelain lamps, tables made from 100-year-old barn wood, and a 26ft long bar made from a local honey locust tree.
Believe it or not, the brewery hasn’t even been open for a year (that anniversary is in December) and yet they’ve crafted over 20 different beers amassing to over 30,000 gallons in production with a barrel program that consists of 40 barrels.
In the past (almost) year, Crane Brewing has won the following awards:
- 2015 Golden Tappys – Best Beer Festival: Festival of the Lost Township
- 2016 Feast Awards – Best Microbrewery in Kansas City
- 2016 Pitch Best of KC – Best New Brewery, Best Local Special Release Beer, and Best Start-up
For locals (or those willing to make the drive) they’ll have beers on tap that won’t see distro which they’ll not only pour pints of at the bar but also sell crowlers of as well. Don’t worry, their distributed beers will be available to go in bottles, too.

The Taproom will also host special events year-round and will continue to work with local charities and organizations as a resource for fundraising and promotions. Keep a lookout for more weekly and monthly events like Trivia Night presented by KC Trivia Geeks every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm.
The Taproom at Crane Brewing will be open Tuesday-Thursday from 4pm-9pm, Friday from 2pm-10pm, and Saturday from 12pm-10pm. Tours will be available on Saturday at 2:00pm.
Cheers!
